Bad Sisters season 2 has been given a release date on streaming service Apple TV+.

The dark comedy thriller will be back for its second run on Wednesday, November 13, with two episodes. We'll then get one episode every Wednesday, with the season 2 finale landing on Christmas Day.

Season 1 ended with the revelation that Grace killed her husband John Paul, and with the help of Roger, made it look like he had died in accident. Season 2 will be set two years on, with the titular Garvey sisters having moved on.

The peace won't last, however, as the official synopsis teases that: "When past truths resurface, the ladies are thrust back into the spotlight, suspicions are at an all-time high, lies are told, secrets revealed and the sisters are forced to work out who they can trust."

When Bad Sisters was announced for its second season, creator and star Sharon Horgan reflected on how she wasn't expecting the success and warm reception the debut run received.

"The response to our show had been beyond what we could have hoped for. It gave us the opportunity to shine a light on stories that don’t always get such a global platform," she said.

A few months back, it was confirmed that another series that Horgan created, Motherland, wouldn't be coming back for a fourth season.

However, it's not all bad news, as a six-part spin-off called Amandaland is on the way. It'll focus on Lucy Punch's character Amanda following her divorce, and heavily feature Joanna Lumley as her mother.

Bad Sisters season 2 premieres on Apple TV+ on Wednesday, November 13. Season 1 can be streamed now.
