Baton Rouge Police Department make arrests during vehicle burglary ring investigation, 11 guns found
BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Multiple guns were found during an investigation into “a large vehicle burglary ring,” according to the Baton Rouge Police Department.
Baton Rouge Police Cpl. Tayveon Slaughter made arrests in connection with this case on Sunday, July 14.
BRPD said the officer “was working an extra duty detail and investigating multiple vehicle burglaries when he ran across the criminals in the 6900 block of Greenwell Springs Road.”
They said 11 guns were found and two of them were handed back to their owners.
The investigation remains ongoing and BPRD is asking for help from the community.
