Baton Rouge police investigating after woman left hurt in shooting

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Baton Rouge police say a woman was injured in a shooting near North Acadian Thruway Thursday morning.

Emergency medical officials responded to the shooting in the 3100 block of Washington Avenue around 2:45 a.m. July 25.

The Baton Rouge Police Department said a woman’s shooting injuries are considered non-life threatening.

BRPD said they do not have a motive or suspect at this time and the investigation into the shooting remains ongoing.

Multiple BRPD units, officers and crime scene tape were observed at the scene. This is a developing story.
