BBC police documentary resurfaces in top trending spot on Netflix
A BBC documentary from 2018 has topped the trending chart on Netflix, following its re-release on the streaming service.
Car Crash: Who's Lying? dives into the mystery of a supposed car accident that happened on a dark country road, and chronicles how the police tried to work out the truth as stories changed and alibis clashed with each other.
At the time of writing, the film is number 1 in Netflix UK's trending chart for films.

It's not the first time this has happened with British projects that may have gone under the radar when they initially aired on TV.
Back in April, 2019 ITV drama Cleaning Up, starring Sheridan Smith as an officer cleaner who enters the murky world of insider trading, trended at number two on Netflix UK's most-watched programmes list.
The early 2000s series Fat Friends, also starring Sheridan Smith and other eventual Gavin & Stacey stars, trended at the same time.

Of course, this has happened with classic lengthy American shows when they get added to streaming.
The Office US and Friends have always been huge on streaming, but more recently, the show Suits became bigger than ever thanks to its release on Netflix (as well as Peacock in the US and BBC iPlayer in the UK).
A Suits spin-off was ordered with a high-priority fast-track last year, and a few months back it was announced that Arrow actor Stephen Amell would play the lead character.
