BCSO: Off-duty Albuquerque police officer killed Wednesday morning

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office said an off-duty Albquerque Police Department officer was killed early Wednesday morning. Deputies were sent to a pedestrian death near Coors and Chapulin in the South Valley around 12:45 a.m. Wednesday evening APD confirmed it was Officer Bianca Quintana. She joined the department in 2022.

Albuquerque man sentenced for the 2023 murder of two brothers

Details are limited but BCSO said Wednesday afternoon that it was a hit-and-run crash. Officials are working to identify the vehicle involved in the crash.
