Turns out Chanel isn’t just a coveted fashion brand. It’s also one of the most beloved new celebrity baby names, according to BabyCenter’s Best and Worst Celebrity Baby Names of 2015.

STORY: Unique Baby Name, Unique Kid?

The first name chosen by Prince William and Kate Middleton for their daughter, Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, born May 2, reigns supreme in the survey, released Thursday, which polled more than 1,100 BabyCenter mothers for their most and least favorite names of celebrity children revealed in 2015. But the moniker Chanel Nicole — chosen by reality star Coco Austin and rapper and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit star Ice-T for their Nov. 28-born daughter (above) — surprisingly takes the silver medal.

While Chanel, a French girls’ name according to BabyCenter, has always been a favorite for new mother Coco Austin, the website only just saw the moniker jump an impressive 432 spots in their ranking, to No. 371 overall, in 2016. Austin says the choice to use it came about after she resisted her husband’s insistence to name their daughter after her. “I want her to have her own identity,” she said. “I don’t want people to look at her like, ‘Oh, you got to be like your mom!’ … So I went close to that, to Chanel, like Coco Chanel, of course.”

“There’s no formula for choosing a name people will love,” BabyCenter global editor in chief Linda Murray tells Yahoo Parenting of their survey findings. “The ‘favorites’ list includes names that are classic (Charlotte), hipster (Brooklyn), literary (Atticus), aspirational (Chanel), and religious (Isaiah). To me, the variety of names that appeal to moms was surprising.”

“I was also surprised to see that retro-rockers (Bowie and Jagger) took a beating in the poll,” Murray added. “Would baby Bieber, Swift, or Styles be more appealing to today’s moms? Only time will tell.”

Ultimately, after all, it only matters what the mother and father like. And at least one of the mothers who chose a name that landed on the “least favorite” list is proud of her choice. Zooey Deschanel explained on Today why she gave her little girl the unique moniker Elsie Otter: “We just really liked the name Elsie and then we both love otters — they’re very sweet, and they’re also smart. They use tools. … They hold hands while they sleep. There’s so many amazing things about otters. They’re wonderful animals.”
