HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — President Joe Biden spent part of Sunday campaigning in the Midstate.
He stopped by the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) union headquarters in Lower Paxton Township as he criss-crossed the Commonwealth.

Biden is trying to convince many Democrats he’s fit to defeat Donald Trump in November. Some Pennsylvania Democrats joined him, providing backing, including Senator John Fetterman.
Fetterman said Biden “humiliated” Trump last November.
“The critics say Biden is just a big spender,” Biden said. “First of all, we ended with a surplus but guess what, that other guy has the largest deficit any president has had in history.”

Recent polls suggest Trump is leading in Pennsylvania.
Prior to his Midstate stop, Biden spoke at an event in Philadelphia.
He was originally supposed to speak at the National Education Association’s annual conference, though the association announced a strike and Biden will not cross the picket line.
The last time Biden was in Harrisburg, he spoke to abc27’s Dennis Owens in a one-on-one interview.
