Dean McDermott Enters Rehab
Tori Spelling's better half is taking some time to better himself — by going to rehab.
Roughly one month after cheating allegations surfaced, Dean McDermott has entered a facility for treatment, the actor-turned-reality-TV-star's rep confirmed to Yahoo.
"I am truly sorry for the mistakes I have made and for the pain I've caused my family," the 47-year-old star explained in a statement. "I take full responsibility for my actions and have voluntarily checked myself into a treatment center to address some health and personal issues. I am grateful to be getting the help I need so I can become the husband and father my family deserves."
Though McDermott's statement is decidedly vague about what his "issues" are, as well as what he did exactly to cause this "pain" to his family, it certainly indicates that he is trying right some wrongs. And while sources have claimed that he is allowed to leave the treatment center to visit his four children — Liam, 6, Stella, 5, Hattie, 2, and 15-month-old Finn — at the family's home, there's no word on whether Tori, 40, plans to be around for that or not.
"Their priority right now is their children," a source revealed, though others previously claimed Tori is "much more heartbroken than anyone realized" about the situation. (If the rumors are true, we have to admit, we think it would be odd if she wasn't pretty hurt.)
However, this is hardly the first drama the couple has faced. Tori and Dean have stood by each other through Tori's health issues during pregnancy, Dean's motorcycle accident, their show being canceled, financial troubles, and then some.
That said, only time will tell whether these latest wounds heal or if this is another Hollywood marriage broken beyond repair. In the meantime, hopefully Dean gets whatever help he needs so both he and Tori can continue to focus on what really matters: their kids.
