Matt Damon’s Vow Renewal: Inside Luxurious Reported Resort
When Matt Damon and Luciana Barrosa wed in 2005, the couple exchanged vows in New York with only her daughter Alexia as a confirmed witness. Not to mention, Damon headed to work on his film "The Good Shepherd" that same day.
Not this time around.
Damon and his bride will reportedly renew their vows in a dramatically different -- and luxurious -- setting this weekend.
Sugar Beach St. Lucia, a Viceroy resort in the Caribbean, will allegedly play host to Matt and Luciana with guests including George Clooney, Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner, Michael Douglas, and Catherine Zeta-Jones.
The hotel, said to have been rented out under the alias surname Naff, sits on pristine white sands peppered with private bungalows that come furnished with wrap-around infinity pools, sun patios, and custom white linens.
Crystal chandeliers, Victorian clawed bathtubs, and private butler service round out the highest-grade cottages. A far cry from the efficiency of a New York civil ceremony.
Culinary offerings include island fare like mahi-mahi and red snapper, as well unexpected comforts of home like duck breast imported from the Hudson Valley.
Any guests bringing their star broods along needn't worry as Sugar Beach has plenty of activities for kids (the Damons have four children, while Affleck and Garner have three little ones).
The resort offers glass bottom boat excursions, arts and crafts, volcano and botanical garden tours, and fish feeding for the younger crowd, according to their website.
We have a feeling the Damons might have been tipped off to the fabulous locale by a friend who knows what she's talking about. In January, Gwyneth Paltrow blogged about spending her New Year's holiday there with Chris Martin and their kids Apple and Moses.
Stay tuned to omg! for details on the reported vow renewal as the weekend unfolds.
