Body found in Wisconsin pond identified as missing 24-year-old woman, investigation continues
MADISON, Wis. (WFRV) – A body found in a pond on Thursday in Madison has been identified as the 24-year-old woman who was last seen on Sept. 30, according to a release from the Madison Police Department.
Brooke L. Strattan was reported missing on October 1 after having last been seen around 7 a.m. the previous day with a man in the area of Odana Road and Whitney Way.
The Madison Police Department executed multiple searches at known locations linked to Strattan, but a tip from a community member led officers to a section of the University of Wisconsin Arboretum off Monroe Street.

On Thursday, a body was found and pulled from a pond in the area. The Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office publicly identified the body as Strattan on Tuesday.
The death is considered suspicious by the Madison Police Department, and it remains under investigation.
