Body recovered from Geauga County lake: Sheriff

NEWBURY TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WJW) – Sheriff’s deputies are investigating after a body was recovered from a lake in Geauga County Friday evening.

Deputies with the Geauga County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene near Pine Lake in Newbury Township, in the Punderson State Park area.

The body was recovered around 7 p.m.

Geauga County Sheriff Scott Hildebrand told FOX 8 the victim hasn’t been identified yet.

The investigation remains active at this time, the sheriff said.
