Boil water advisory in issued in 3 Jackson County cities

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A boil water advisory has been issued for three cities in eastern Jackson County on Sunday.

The cities of Buckner, Levasy and Sibley are being advised to boil their water due to water line breaks and low water pressure.

According to the City of Buckner, crews are finishing a water main break on Oats Lane and 24 Highway. During that repair, crews need to shut off the line that feeds 24 Highway.

There was also a watermain break in Levasy.

Residents are advised to boil their water for three minutes and discard ice from their ice maker for the next three days.
