Brad Roae, of East Mead Township, wins 10th term as 6th Dist. state representative
MEADVILLE — Brad Roae has won re-election as state representative for the 6th Dist., according to unofficial election results.
Roae, a Republican, of East Mead Township, Crawford County, represents Albion and Cranesville boroughs and Springfield, Conneaut and Elk Creek townships in Erie County as well as Meadville, Conneaut Lake, Linesville and Conneautville in Crawford County.
He had 2,240 votes in Erie County with 60% of the precincts reporting Tuesday night, compared to 1,102 votes for Democratic opponent Michael Walker. In Crawford County, Roae had 19,618 votes to 8,298 for Walker with all precincts reporting.
Roae will begin a 10th term in the House in January. His 2024 campaign priorities included protecting gun rights and opposing tax increases, reckless spending and policies that encourage illegal aliens to come to Pennsylvania, Roae said in a September interview with the Erie Times-News.

Roae is Republican chairman of the House state government committee and is past chairman of the House commerce and consumer affairs committees. He has been a member of the Board of Governors of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education since his appointment to the board in 2019.
He was a commercial underwriter for Erie Insurance before he was first elected to the state House in 2006.
