Britain's Got Talent's Amanda Holden lands next TV role
Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden has landed her next television role, though it’s related to her most famous role in a way.
The star, who appears alongside on the ITV show Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli, has been announced as the co-host for the Royal Variety Performance alongside Alan Carr, which is set to take place on November 22.
The news was unveiled by the Royal Variety’s official social media channels, writing: “We are thrilled to confirm that we have not one but two fabulous hosts for #RoyalVarietyPerformance 2024! Both @AmandaHolden & Alan Carr @chattyman will present our sell-out show on 22nd Nov @RoyalAlbertHall. #Variety4Charity.”

The Royal Variety Performance will of course feature Sydnie Christmas, the most recent winner of Britain’s Got Talent, amongst many other performers who delight the packed-out crowd at the Royal Albert Hall.
Sydnie, who secured a £250k cash prize as part of her triumph, recently responded to the backlash she received following the win, with some viewers bringing up her previous experience in the West End.
“I’m new to all the attention. [The fix speculation is] just not true,” she said. “Everything has been genuine and I’ve said my truth, so saying it’s not is questioning me. There’s nothing that breaks my heart more than to see [the doubt].

“It makes me feel really crappy. It’s soul-destroying, but there’s nothing I can do to change their minds so I’ve had to separate myself. I’d love to speak to them but they are so angry, so there’s nothing more I can do.”
Amanda was full of praise for the singer following the final, likening her voice to a famous pop star as she said: “Sydnie Christmas, what a beautiful girl. For me, she had the vibes of Adele, in that she was humble, [she had a] sense of humour. I said to Simon she was a clown, but you could see it meant so much to her on the day.”
Britain's Got Talent airs on ITV1 and ITVX.
