Brittany Bryant Jorden announces candidacy for Baton Rouge City Court Judge
BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — An assistant district attorney says she’s running for Baton Rouge City Court Judge in Division C.
Brittany Bryant Jorden announced her candidacy in a news release on Wednesday, July 10. The seat is available after Judge Johnell Matthews said he will not be seeking re-election.
“As an experienced Senior Felony Assistant District Attorney, I have been committed to implementing justice with compassion and integrity,” said Jorden. “As the next City Court Judge for Baton Rouge, I will remain dedicated to serving every citizen with excellence and experience.”
According to a news release, Jorden has served as an assistant district attorney for the East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney’s Office for the last seven years. She has also served as an attorney with the Office of the Governor Mental Health Advocacy Service and Child Advocacy Program.

“I believe I have the necessary courtroom experience to serve as City Court Judge,” said Jorden.
Election day is Tuesday, Nov. 5.
