Buffalo man charged with murder in connection with Luxor shooting
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo man was arrested and charged Wednesday in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred outside of a local restaurant back in May, the Buffalo Police Department announced.
Officials responded to a shots fired call around 2:30 a.m. on May 26. Police confirmed that the shooting occurred outside of Luxor Steak & Lobster at Main Street and Winspear Avenue. The restaurant was shut down by the city and announced their permanent closure on Facebook in October.
42-year-old Darius Spates of Buffalo was driven to ECMC in a private vehicle where he was pronounced dead.
The suspect was apprehended without incident Wednesday. 40-year-old Robert Oneil of Buffalo was charged with second-degree murder.
