Buffalo man pleads guilty to manslaughter in 2022 fatal shooting

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo man pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter Tuesday following the shooting death of a victim in 2022, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office announced.

According to officials, 25-year-old Abdulla Abdalla shot 40-year-old Monroe Cross III in an apartment on the 100 block of Grote Street on the morning of June 20. Cross was taken to ECMC and later died.

Abdalla remains held without bail. He faces a maximum of 25 years in prison when he is sentenced in April.
