Buffalo man sentenced for fatal shooting on East Ferry

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo man has been sentenced in connection to a fatal shooting on East Ferry Street in 2023, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office said Monday.

Louis Goforth, 40, was sentenced to 20 years in prison on Friday. Goforth shot and killed 39-year-old Mario Saddler on the 200 block of East Ferry around 4:30 a.m. on Jan. 22, 2023. Saddler died at the scene.

Goforth pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree manslaughter in February. He will also be subject to five years of post-release supervision.
