Buffalo man wanted, possibly armed following Monday shooting

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Town of Tonawanda Police say a Buffalo man is currently wanted and possibly armed following a Monday afternoon shooting.

Police say 42-year-old Joel Brown shot a 36-year-old male victim in the leg and hand on Kenmore Avenue. The public should not approach him.

Police said they responded to 311 Kenmore Ave. around 4:10 p.m. Monday for a report of shots fired. According to police, Brown and the victim know each other and the shooting is believed to stem from an ongoing dispute between them. The owner of the auto repair business at that address said the shooting did not happen inside the establishment.
