Buffalo Wild Wings opens to hungry patrons in Hartland
HARTLAND TWP. — More than 70 televisions have been switched on, beer is flowing, and a hot wing challenge is ready for anyone who dares.
A newly constructed Buffalo Wild Wings has opened for business at 10530 Hartland Square Drive off Highland Road/M-59 in Hartland Township.
Co-owner Bobby Kramer, who has operated several Buffalo Wild Wings locations in Michigan, including one in neighboring Howell, said it's a good spot for the restaurant and sports bar.
"We knew Hartland has been growing, and we've just seen the growth," Kramer, who also co-owns the nearby Tony Sacco's Coal Oven Pizza, said.
He and his business partners, Jim Womac and Tom Adkins, looked for locations with existing anchor businesses. In this case, Meijer and an Emagine Theater.
Upon entering the large restaurant, it's clear there isn't a bad seat in the house for watching sports. The eatery has two video walls and 73 television sets.
"We want to be the best and brightest sports bar viewing experience in Livingston County," Kramer said. "Any game, any live sports ... we can feature for our guests."
He hopes the new location will serve as "a gathering space" for locals.
"It's a hangout where people can relax at the bar," he said. "We want to be that spot."
The restaurant seats 247 guests, including a 27-seat central bar. It has a separate entrance for take-out orders.
It was designed to be "a modern version of a Buffalo Wild Wings," Kramer said.
He said "modern" elements include three garage doors, which can be opened on nice days, and the "continuous bar."
Buffalo Wild Wings — which is officially nicknamed B-Dubs — is known for its chicken wings. Kramer said their burgers and queso dip are also popular. They serve hand-breaded chicken sandwiches, wraps, tacos and salads.

Those who don't mind the burn can attempt the "Blazin' Knockout Challenge," which requires eating 10 ghost pepper wings in five minutes. Those who complete it win a headband, a free scoop of ice cream, and their name posted on a television.
The restaurant also offers happy hour and late night specials.
Kramer plans to host fundraisers and sponsor local sports teams.
"We want to be connected in our communities."
