Car stolen from repair shop, NOPD searching for suspect
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department is hoping to identify and arrest a suspect in a car theft that occurred at a repair shop in Algiers. The case is the latest one to roll on the Wheel of Justice.
According to police, the owner of the car took it to a repair shop on June 24. The shop is located in the 3600 block of General DeGaulle Drive. Police say that a few days later, the business contacted the owner of the car to report that it was no longer there.

Police say the owner of the car was able to use some security features on the car to determine its location as well as obtain a pic of the suspect using the car’s internal camera.
Police released two images that they say were taken from the car’s internal camera. They also say that the car was tracked to the Slidell area but did not say if it had been recovered.
