Carousel building, cars damaged in Salem Riverfront Park shooting

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Salem police are seeking information about a shooting that damaged the riverfront carousel building early Wednesday morning.

According to authorities, officers rushed to Riverfront Park at around 1:20 a.m. after multiple people reported hearing gunshots.

In a recording shared by Salem Police Department on X, numerous gunshots can be heard.

When officers arrived, they said they found numerous cars damaged as well as the riverfront carousel building damaged by gunshots.

Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact police.
