Chadwick Boseman Voiced His Political Support For Kamala Harris Prior To His Death

United States Vice President Kamala Harris has received an uptick in support amid her potential nomination as the Democratic candidate in the 2024 Presidential Election, as a number of celebs and politicians have sung her praises.

One retroactive cosign of Harris that has garnered attention is that of Chadwick Boseman, as the late actor’s last post on Twitter, now known as X, prior to his death was him signaling his solidarity with Harris amid her and running-mate Joe Biden’s bid for office in 2020.

In the post, which was uploaded on the social media platform on Aug. 11, 2020, Boseman simply wrote “YES @KamalaHarris!” in a seeming show of endorsement for the then Vice President candidate, along with the hashtags #WhenWeAllVote and #Vote2020.

The post included a photo of Boseman and Harris embracing one another while at the Freedom for Immigrants event in 2018, a moment captured that remains indicative of the award-winning thespian’s support of Harris and her campaign.

Unfortunately, Boseman would pass away later that month due to colon cancer, just months short of Harris and Biden winning office and Harris making history as the first African-American woman to be Vice President of the United States.

Harris’ bid for the United States Presidency began with current U.S. President Joe Biden’s withdrawal from the race this past weekend. On Sunday (July 21), Biden revealed the news of his decision, which he says was made in the best interest of the nation as a whole. According to Biden, he plans to focus solely on “fulfilling his Presidential duties for the remainder of his term.”
