Chairman of Amigone Funeral Home dies at 92
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Anthony Amigone Sr., the chairman of Amigone Funeral Home, died on Saturday at the age of 92, the company announced.
Amigone ran the Western New York-based funeral home since 1953, opening up 13 locations across the region over the decades. He served as president of the New York State Funeral Directors Association and the district governor of the National Funeral Directors Association.
During his career, he created the “Amigone blue” livery that is now on all of the funeral home’s hearses.
The company, which was founded by his parents in 1926, is now being run by his sons.
