Chemical spill causes hazmat situation at Buffalo General
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A chemical spill caused a hazmat situation at Buffalo General Hospital on Tuesday morning, according to city officials.
The spill happened around 8:50 a.m. Tuesday in the boiler room. Officials said that there are no reports of injuries, the spill is nontoxic and the building was not evacuated.
Buffalo General lost hot water for part of the day, but operations are now back to normal. Authorities said patient care was not interrupted.
