Cheryl has showcased a brand new hairstyle over the weekend, as Girls Aloud performed at Brighton Pride.

The girl group headlined the Saturday of the LGBTQ+ festival, with Cheryl, Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh sporting gold bodysuits. Cheryl and Kimberley went one step further, sporting pastelly pink and purple hairstyles respectively.

During their set, the girls paid tribute to their gay fans by changing some lyrics in songs like 'Something New' and 'Something Kinda Ooooh', and covering Madonna's 'Material Girl'.

In a moment from the show uploaded by fans, Cheryl told the crowd: "We did the tour this summer, we thought that would be it. We'd do the tour, we'd honour Sarah [Harding], and that would be it. And then someone said, 'Girls, would you like to do Brighton Pride?'

"And without hesitation, we said, 'Of course, we wouldn't wanna be anywhere else in the world than here with you tonight. And Sarah would be up here having the time of her life. She loved watching you go."

The girls also brought out Olly Alexander for a cover of his Years & Years hit 'King', as well as a performance of fan favourite song 'The Loving Kind', which notably wasn't performed on The Girls Aloud Show tour that ran across May and June.

"I cannot believe I got to sing with @girlsaloud at their brighton pride show, this was an actual dream come true!" Olly wrote on Instagram, alongside a photo of himself with the group.

"I saw their amazing tour recently and loved it so much, they really are true icons so it was a huge honor to sing 'The Loving Kind' (one of my faves of theirs) AND sing 'King' together! I mean!

"Honestly this was such a special moment. I'm so happy I could be a part of celebrating these wonderful women, their incredible music and the gorgeous legend Sarah Harding," Olly added.

"Thank you @lilcola @cherylofficial @kimberleywalshofficial @nadinecoyle and the whole girls aloud team, you made me feel so welcome."
