Chicago officer found not guilty in shooting of unarmed man at train station

Officer Melvina Bogard was found not guilty of aggravated battery and official misconduct in the 2020 shooting of Ariel Roman after struggling to arrest him for walking between train cars, carrying marijuana and resisting. A civil lawsuit and police disciplinary procedures remain active.
