Child critical after being hit by car in Northeast Ohio
AKRON, Ohio (WJW) – Police in Akron are investigating a traffic accident that left a child in critical condition.
According to police, a 7-year-old boy was hit by an SUV as he was crossing the street Thursday just before 6 p.m.

It happened at the intersection of Dahlgren Drive and Rosemary Boulevard.
According to police, the SUV was headed westbound on Rosemary when the child was hit.
Police said the child was unresponsive when officers arrived on scene.
The child, who has not been identified, was taken to Akron Children’s Hospital in critical condition.

The driver has been cooperative with police, according to a press release.
No word on any possible charges.
