Cleveland Man Found Guilty Of Torturing Woman Spits On Prosecutor In Court
Preston Anderson was sentenced to six years in prison on Tuesday (Sept. 17) for torturing a woman for multiple days. The Cleveland man then responded to his punishment obscenely.
Anderson pled guilty to charges of gross sexual imposition, abduction, aggravated assault, and strangulation earlier this month and was found guilty of 18 total counts this week. Broken down, it was four counts of rape, one count of attempted rape, two counts of kidnapping, seven counts of felonious assault, two counts of strangulation, one count of domestic violence, and one count of retaliation.
This is all derived from his heinous behavior in July 2023, when he held a woman captive in a Cleveland apartment, burned her with canola oil, and did not allow her to eat, drink, or use the bathroom. She eventually escaped by going to the apartment’s security and hiding in a bathroom. Anderson was also labeled as a Tier 1 sex offender by Judge Shannon Gallagher for sexually and physically assaulting the woman.
Preston Anderson was handed his sentence of six years in court this week. As he was being escorted out of the courtroom, he lowered the mask covering his mouth, began to say something to the prosecutor who was sitting down, and then spit on her. The police immediately tightened their grasp on Anderson and rushed him out of the courtroom.
The prosecutor seemed in good spirits after being handed some wipes to clean herself off. She even flashed a smile at some people in the courtroom.
