Clint Eastwood’s Savannah-shot ‘Juror #2’ announces release date
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – Legendary director and actor Clint Eastwood’s swan song Juror #2, shot in Savannah last year, will see a limited release on November 1, 2024.
IMDB describes the film’s plot as the story of “family man Justin Kemp who, while serving as a juror in a high-profile murder trial, finds himself struggling with a serious moral dilemma…one he could use to sway the jury verdict and potentially convict, or free, the wrong killer.”
The film’s cast features Nicholas Hoult, Toni Collette, J.K. Simmons, Chris Messina, Gabriel Basso, Zoey Deutch, Cedric Yarbrough, Leslie Bibb and Kiefer Sutherland.
Deadline reports that the Juror #2 world premiere will close out the American Film Institute’s (AFI) annual AFI FEST on October 27, with a limited release to follow on November 1.
Principal photography for the movie, purported to be the last for 94-year-old Academy Award-winner Eastwood, began in the Spring of 2023 but was halted due to the Writer’s Guild of America (WGA) and Screen Actors Guild (SAG) labor strikes. Filming resumed and concluded in the Fall.
There is no word yet on when the film’s release will reach its shooting location.
