Community gathers for “Human BuffaLove” event
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – BuffaLove Apparel invited hundreds of residents from the Queen City to Canalside for their “Human BuffaLove” event on Saturday.
It’s the business’ seventh time creating a buffalo with attendees through coordinating shirts and standing in designated spots for an aerial photo.
The event’s donations benefited WNY Heroes and the Bob Woodruff Foundation, organizations that provide assistance and resources to veterans and their families.
Patty Watson, the owner of BuffaLove Apparel, said having love for the community is what they’re all about.
“This one was a task, six colors was a task, and the coordination, it came together,” she said. “We had all of our Western New York Heroes friends here as well. People brought their children, their babies, their dogs, their grandparents — just all joining together and really caring about the project that we have in hand here, and then paying it forward to our veterans,” she said.
With their tickets, attendees received a BuffaLove event T-shirt and participated in the photo, enjoyed live music and were provided lunch from Chiavetta’s BBQ.
