Convicted felon admits to possession of child pornography

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A previously convicted Depew man pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography after images depicting prepubescent minors were found on his phone, the U.S. Attorney’s Office announced Tuesday.

Cameron Stroke, 43, was convicted on a federal charge of possession of child pornography in Oct. 2019. He was sentenced to five years of probation, according to officials.

Less than four years later, in May 2023, an unauthorized cell phone was found in his possession containing 181 images and 12 videos of child pornography. Some images depicted prepubescent minors.

Stroke faces a minimum penalty of ten years, a maximum penalty of 20 years, and a $250,000 fine when he is sentenced on Oct. 29.
