FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Many counties in Northwest Arkansas and the River Valley area are in a severe heat advisory as of June 24.
Heat advisories put unhoused persons and those without functioning air conditioning at risk.
Cooling centers, air-conditioned or cooled buildings designated as sites to provide respite and safety during extreme heat, open when the National Weather Service issues a heat advisory.
