Coroner: Shooting death of 24-year-old Augusta man a homicide
The Richmond County Coroner's Office is investigating the shooting death of a 24-year-old man Sunday night in Augusta.
Gregory Campbell, 24, of the 300 block of Barrow Drive, was taken to Wellstar/MCG, where he was pronounced dead just before midnight, according to a news release from the coroner's office.
The shooting occurred on the 300 block of Williamsburg Drive, according to the release. Campbell was shot at least once.
The coroner's office listed the shooting death as a homicide. An autopsy has been scheduled, according to the release.
