'Country Fun for Everyone' at Hebron Harvest Fair
Sep. 6—HEBRON — Fall can't properly start without the annual Hebron Harvest Fair.
The 51st annual event will be held this year from Sept. 8-11, and this year's theme is "Country Fun for Everyone."
Fair co- organizer Caron Conway said the fair lived up to its theme with " a variety of agricultural offerings, live music, racing pigs, midway rides, a BMX Bike Stunt Show, Dock Dogs canine aquatics, the Flying Cortes Trapeze Spectacular, a demolition derby, truck and tractor pulls, animal barns, livestock events, community exhibits, contests, a Beer and Wine Garden, favorite fair food and more."
Every year the fair, organized by the Hebron Lions Agricultural Society, draws a big — name country music act, and this year the featured performer will be Chris Cagle. Cagle's hits include " What Kinda Gone," " What A Beautiful Day," " Laredo" and " Country by the Grace of God." His performance will be on the main stage at 3: 30 p. m. on Sunday, Sept. 11.
Events like the Dock Dogs, the Flying Cortes trapeze acts, the bike stunts and Rosaire's Racing Pigs will be held multiple times throughout the four- day event. A Family Edutainment Center will provide activities and games for children all four days of the fair as well.
The Demolition Derby will take place at 7: 30 p. m. on Thursday, Sept. 8, and the Double Figure 8 Derby will be held at 7: 30 p. m. on Friday, Sept. 9.
The fairgrounds are open from 4 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, from noon to midnight on Friday, from 9 a. m. to midnight on Saturday, and from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Sunday.
The Beer and Wine Garden is open afternoons and evenings only, from 5- 10 p. m. on Thursday, from 1- 10: 30 p. m. on Friday, from noon to 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, and from noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
The midway carnival rides and games will again be presented by Dreamland Amusements. The midway is open from 4-10:30 p.m. on Thursday, from 2 p.m. to midnight on Friday, from 10 a. m. midnight on Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets to the midway are sold separately from fair admission. Individual tickets can be purchased at the fair, or wristbands for unlimited rides will cost $30 on Friday and Sunday, and $ 35 on Saturday. However, wristbands can be purchased in advance for $ 23 online. Rides will cost $1 each on Thursday, as part of the Opening Day deal.
Admission to the entire fair is $ 1 on Thursday as well. The other three days admission costs $ 14 per adult; children aged
