Couple charged with plotting $147K armed robbery at Euclid Marc’s

CLEVELAND (WJW) — Two people have been indicted by a Cuyahoga County grand jury in a $147,000 armed robbery.

Cartier Pickens, 31, and Ariel Miller, 29, are charged.

According to prosecutors, Miller worked at a Marc’s Store in Euclid.

In February 2023, prosecutors say Pickens held Miller at gunpoint in the store, pistol-whipped her and fled the scene.

Evidence revealed that the couple, who were in a romantic relationship, had exchanged messages planning the robbery shortly before the crime, including reminders to adhere to their “plan” and to delete incriminating texts, according to a press release.

In total, the pair allegedly stole over $147,000 from the store, according to prosecutors.

  • One count of Aggravated Burglary

  • One count of Burglary

  • One count of Conspiracy

  • One count of Grand Theft

  • One count of Telecommunications Fraud

  • Three counts of Having Weapons While Under Disability

  • Three counts of Receiving Stolen Property

Ariel Miller

  • One count of Aggravated Robbery

  • One count of Robbery

  • One count of Conspiracy

  • One count of Grand Theft

  • One count of Telecommunications Fraud

  • Two counts of Unlawful Transactions in Weapons

  • Three counts of Receiving Stolen Property

Their arraignment on the charges has not been set. The two were arrested on Thursday.
