Crews respond to Vancouver apartment fire, 5 families displaced
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A fire at a Vancouver apartment complex prompted response from fire crews and displaced five families early Sunday morning.
At around 2:30 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to 3701 East 18th Street on reports of an apartment complex fire.
On arrival, crews found flames coming from a second-floor window of a two-story apartment building.

More crews soon arrived on the scene to help prevent the fire spreading to the attic space and two other apartment units.
Officials say they were able to put out the blaze within 20 minutes.
Although five families were displaced due to the fire, there were no injuries to residents or pets.
The cause of fire is under investigation by the Vancouver Fire marshal.
