Date set for VP Kamala Harris battleground tour stop in Savannah
Vice President Kamala Harris will make a stop in Savannah next Friday on her four-day, seven-city tour of battleground states across the U.S., the campaign confirmed on Thursday.
The campaign lists it as Friday afternoon, with no time set. A venue has also not been specified.
Supporters can register to attend the event that bills itself as "Harris for President rally with special guests."
The tour kicks off Tuesday in Philadelphia with a yet-to-be announced vice presidential pick.
The visit to Savannah comes just over a week after holding a rally in Atlanta with rapper Megan Thee Stallion, and appearances by rapper Quavo, Georgia politician Stacy Abrams and U.S. Senators Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock.
Harris will also make stops in Eau Claire, Wisc.; Detroit, Michigan; Raleigh, North Carolina; Phoenix, Arizona; and Las Vegas, Nevada. Her campaign stop in Phoenix will be the same day she visits Savannah.
She is now the presumptive Democratic candidate after current president Joe Biden dropped out of the presidential race on July 21.
