Deadly crash in Arapahoe County construction zone closes part of Holly Street
DENVER (KDVR) — A deadly crash was reported in the northbound lanes of Holly Street in Arapahoe County on Monday morning.

The crash closed the northbound lanes between East Arapahoe Road and East Weaver Avenue. The lanes reopened to traffic by about 1:15 p.m.
The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office said in a post to social media that the crash involved a vehicle and a pedestrian and that the crash was fatal. Later, the office confirmed the pedestrian had died.
The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office said the road would be closed for “several hours” because of the “serious accident” and the road was closed for at least two hours. The Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office was on scene as of about noon.
The crash was reported at about 11 a.m.
On Tuesday, the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office shared that the victim and the driver in the crash worked for the same construction company. The driver was operating a dump truck when the incident occurred. At this point, the driver is not facing any charges and the sheriff’s office called it an accident.
