Death in Paradise fans think they've worked out Sunset_Chaser's identity
Ralf Little's detective Neville has an online admirer, and Death in Paradise fans already have a good idea of who it is.
What did you miss?
Romantic fortunes might have changed for DI Neville Parker on Death in Paradise. His recent foray into blogging has earned him a mysterious admirer, known only by the moniker Sunset_Chaser. Their chats have now become a little flirty, leaving Neville's heart wide open for a horrific breaking.
Fans, however, have been sniffing out a few clues to suggest that Sunset_Chaser might not be an online stranger at all. They think it's somebody we've seen before — a Death in Paradise legend, in fact.
Who, what and why?
Death in Paradise fans, quite simply, are pretty sure that Sunset_Chaser is DS Florence Cassell, as played by Josephine Jobert across seven series of the Caribbean crime story.
Neville and Florence had a flirtatious bond when they met previously, but the character was last seen entering witness protection after bringing down high-profile criminal Miranda Priestley via an undercover operation.
Some viewers think that Neville might be saying goodbye to the show at the end of Death in Paradise series 13, and there's no doubt that a reunion with Florence could be a great way to give him a happy ending.
I’m so convinced sunset chaser is Florence #DeathInParadise https://t.co/jFIpnVZjM3

I want Sunset Chaser to be Florence so badly, but I’m sure it’s wishful thinking #DeathInParadise

I think Neville’s going at the end of this series. He’ll leave to reunite with Florence in witness protection

Ralf Little, before the series began, suggested that there could be big things in store for Neville, telling Yahoo UK that there's something surprising on the horizon.
He said: "Last year, of course, Neville's [story] was a real whirlwind. It was really tough, everything that went on with Sophie and the Christmas special we saw... his confidence and belief in finding love and all of those things has been really knocked.
"So it's about him, a lot of it's trying to recover from that and and to learn to believe again, learn to be open to new experiences again, which is an ongoing theme with Neville from when he arrived on the island. There's a few twists and turns as well, a few surprises for him, a few surprises for the rest of the characters."
Could one of those surprises be the return of Florence? Fans certainly think it's on the cards.
What else happened on Death in Paradise?
This week's knotty murder case on Death in Paradise focused on the apparent electrocution of a man who was stealing electricity in order to run a room full of computers mining a valuable virtual currency. It was ultimately revealed that he had been pushed into an electricity substation by the woman with whom he was having an affair, Laurette.
She later staged a power cut in order to conceal his time of death, giving herself a near-perfect alibi. Of course, Neville was eventually able to work everything out. He always does.
We also saw the return of Death in Paradise's most loved character: Harry the lizard. Breathe a sigh of relief, everybody. He's safe.
Death in Paradise airs on Sundays on BBC One at 9pm.
