Death in Paradise star Joséphine Jobert lands next TV role
Death in Paradise star Joséphine Jobert has been cast in upcoming AI surveillance drama Concordia.
According to What to Watch, Jobert will be playing the role of Mathilde in the series, which is set in a fictional city where AI "ensures a free and fair society."
The experiment has since become so popular that multiple cities worldwide are now planing to replicate the system, however just as the project is set to expand into Germany a secret occurs which threatens to destroy the whole system.
"For its 20th anniversary, the AI driven town of Concordia is due to expand to Germany," an official logline for the series reads.

"This plan is threatened when Oliver Miller, an analyst in Concordia is killed."
House of the Dragon star Nanna Blondell, Ted Lasso's Ruth Bradley, Christiane Paul and Steven Sowah will also star in the series, which has been executive produced by Game of Thrones' Frank Doelger. Barbara Eder will directing the six-part series.

"Concordia merges both technology and its abuses, and also how it shapes the hierarchy of society. It is fantastic to be working with such a talented cast and crew in bringing this story to life."

Jobert is best known for her role as DS Florence Cassell in crime-comedy drama Death in Paradise, recently returning as a guest star before Ralf Little's departure as DI Neville Parker.
She recently teased her return to acting last month, telling a fan on Instagram that she would be back on TV screens very soon. "That's one of the rules in business," Jobert said.
"Things can be pretty quiet for months, and then all of a sudden, everything happens at once. To be continued..."
