Deer hunter finds skeletal remains on private property in Two Rivers, authorities unable to confirm if it is tied to Elijah Vue case

TWO RIVERS, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in Manitowoc County announced that skeletal remains were found in the Town of Two Rivers over the weekend.

According to the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office, on September 7 in the Town of Two Rivers, a local deer hunter found skeletal remains and notified authorities. The investigation is ‘ongoing’, according to authorities.

The release said that determining the identity of the remains will be a ‘lenghty’ process. Additionally, authorities said they are not able to give specific information regarding the remains.

However, the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office said they are aware of the ongoing case of missing 3-year-old Elijah Vue. It was mentioned that authorities cannot confirm if the remains are related to the case.

The Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office said it is working closely with multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Wisconsin State Crime Lab and the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Anthropology Department.
