Defunding South Kitsap schools would be the real failure

I was thinking about Jeff Daily, and bond opponents, claim that "three directors can just decide to do something else" with bond money… and a desire for more "creative" funding solutions to our facility needs.Voters approved a capital levy in 2018, and it included a pool renovation. When the project grew in scope as more work was needed, the board got creative with funding sources and delivered on the promises made to the community without asking voters for more money. The entire school board, and superintendent, turned over in that time period. The promise was kept, even though it was difficult.Who was the only one wanting to break that promise, and who was advocating for scrapping the pool completely? Jeff Daily. Had he succeeded, Jeff would be talking about how the board broke its promises today. He and others are now advocating for defunding public education, calling it a "failure."Defunding schools to improve test scores will work as well as defunding the police decreased the crime rate.Support our community. Support schools. Vote "yes"on the SKSD bond.
