Delinquent property tax auctions set in 2 New Mexico counties

NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – Two delinquent property tax auctions will take place in Guadalupe and Sierra Counties in the next month.

The Taxation and Revenue Department has scheduled the auctions as the state attempts to collect delinquent property taxes when counties are unable to do so. If the state is unable to collect the delinquent taxes, the subject properties are auctioned for sale.

Auctions:

  • Guadalupe County

    • When: 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 30, 2024.

    • Where: Guadalupe Auction Site, 130 South Fourth, Santa Rosa.

  • Sierra County

    • When: 10 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 1, 2024.

    • Where: 1712 Date Street, Suite B, Truth or Consequences.

Registration begins in person at 8 a.m. on the day of the auction and ends at auction time. Bidders must be registered to participate.
