DEMCO employees ready to respond after Hurricane Francine brings wind, rain, storms
BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — As Hurricane Francine makes its way through Louisiana on Wednesday, DEMCO employees are ready to respond to any impacts the storm may bring.
According to a news release, all DEMCO employees, in addition to 236 outside workers are stationed across several parishes in Louisiana. Nearly 40 crew members from Florida are currently on their way to the state and an additional 110 personnel are ready to deploy.
“Once again, DEMCO employees are called upon to help our members and our communities by restoring electric service following a weather emergency,” said CEO and General Manager Randy Pierce.
The electric utility company activated its emergency response plan earlier in the week ahead of Hurricane Francine. Entergy Louisiana also has crews stationed throughout the state for power outages as well.
