3 QUESTIONS
...about Post Malone’s country album
Post Malone released his country album F-1 Trillion this past Friday. I asked entertainment reporter Kelsey Weekman about the artist’s big genre change.
Lily: So, why did Post Malone dive into country music with this album?
Kelsey: He’s always pushed the bounds of genre! But this pivot also follows Beyoncé’s successful country crossover, where he was featured embracing his Texas roots in the song “Levii’s Jeans.”
Lily: Who are some of the big country stars on here?
Kelsey: It’s cool that almost every single track on F-1 Trillion is a collaboration. I wrote about the features, which range from new stars like Lainey Wilson and Jelly Roll to icons like Hank Williams Jr. and Dolly Parton.
Lily: Any standout songs after your first few listens?
Kelsey: I think the infectiously upbeat “I Had Some Help” featuring Morgan Wallen is on track to be the song of summer!
