Democratic National Convention: Young volunteers play key role in event
CHICAGO – Lots of work went into preparing for and hosting the Democratic National Convention, and a lot of it is thanks to young volunteers.
WGN’s Mike Lowe caught up with one volunteer at the DNC Tuesday evening on his 18th birthday, who said he’s excited to be able to vote in a presidential election.

The convention runs through Thursday. Chicago has hosted Democrats 12 times, the last being nearly 30 years ago when President Bill Clinton was nominated for a second term.
