Demolition derby, rodeos and more: See what events will be at the 2024 Illinois State Fair
The event lineup for the Illinois State Fair has been announced for 2024.
This year's State Fair, now less than three months away, has something fun for everyone, young and old. From a monster truck show to a rodeo and a demolition derby, the main events have something for everyone.
Tickets for all of the events are now on sale. Fair admission is not included with event tickets. For more information on these events visit the State Fair website.

Aug. 8
What: Monster of Destruction takes over the arena on the first day of the fair with an all-out monster truck show with battles between Against the Grain, Redneck Rampage, American Scout, Crusharoo and War Wizard. There will also be a Tuff Trucks competition and a side-by-side competition. Guests will also have an opportunity to meet the drivers before the show, plus sit in the truck and have monster truck rides during intermission.
Cost: Advanced pricing tickets cost $25 for adults and $20 for children 11 years old and younger. Day of tickets cost $28 for adults and $23 for children.
Aug. 10
What: Fairgoers will be able to experience a full rodeo by Wooten Rodeo. There will be nine activities during the rodeo including, Bareback, Saddle Bronc, Bull Riding, Tie Down Roping, Over 40 Tie Down Roping, Breakaway Roping, Team Roping, Steer Wrestling and Barrel Racing.
Cost: Tickets for adults start at $10 and $5 for children 12 and under.
Aug. 12-14
What: The Illinois Tractor Pulling Association will host a three-day event of nonstop action to see which of the machines can pull the farthest. Guests can hear the roar of the engines and capture the excitement of this popular event.

Aug. 17
What: Guests can enjoy destruction at the demolition derby as drivers crash into each other until one remains, earning the title of Illinois State Fair Demolition Derby Champion. The derby is a crowd favorite as drivers compete to test strength and durability in automotive combat.
Cost: Tickets for adults start at $10 and for children they start at $5.
