Denham Springs man wanted on attempted second-degree murder, kidnapping charges
LIVINGSTON PARISH, La. (BRPROUD) — Police are looking for a man wanted for several charges.
Christopher Aucoin, 35, of Denham Springs is wanted by the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office on charges of domestic abuse battery: serious bodily injury, domestic abuse: aggravated assault and second-degree kidnapping. He is also wanted by Denham Springs Police Department for attempted second-degree murder, armed robbery and carjacking.
Officers with the Denham Springs PD responded to Louisiana Hwy. 16 near John Martin Lane on Wednesday in reference to a female victim who was found in the roadway suffering from a potentially life-threatening stab wound.

According to police, she was transported to Our Lady of the Lake Baton Rouge for further medical attention. Denham Springs Police Chief Rodney Walker said in a news release that “investigators learned of the female passenger being beaten inside the vehicle while traveling on Highway 16.”
They alerted LPSO Domestic Violence detectives about the portion of the incident that happened in the parish’s jurisdiction on Thursday, July 11.
When detectives with LPSO began investigating, they learned about an argument at a home on Juban Road between Aucoin and the same female victim. Livingston Parish Sheriff Jason Ard said Aucoin “was armed with a knife and battered the female victim while at the residence.”
Aucoin, who was still armed, demanded her to get in a vehicle and left with her, according to investigators.
When she tried to escape, Aucoin reportedly swung the knife and hit her.
