Deputies: Alcohol believed to be factor in Marinette County ATV crash that killed Neenah man
MIDDLE INLET, Wis. (WFRV) – Deputies have stated that alcohol and speed appear to have been factors in a Marinette County ATV crash that took the life of a 37-year-old Neenah man.
According to the Marinette County Sheriff’s Office, the single ATV crash happened on Wayside Road near Pleasant Lane in the Town of Middle Inlet around 7:45 p.m. on August 30.
The investigation indicated that the ATV, driven by 37-year-old Neenah man KC Duane Bolles, was driving south on Wayside Road, when he reportedly failed to negotiate a 90-degree turn, went into the ditch, and hit a tree.

Deputies say that Bolles was wearing a helmet, however, he sustained fatal injuries from the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Marinette County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Authorities say that alcohol and speed appear to have been factors in the crash which remains under investigation by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, Marinette County Sheriff’s Office, and the Marinette County Medical Examiner.
